AMF-Bruns conversion solutions for the new Ford Custom and Ford Courier

Ford has launched its latest models, the Ford Custom and Ford Courier, which have been tailored to meet the diverse needs of individuals requiring mobility assistance. 

AMF-Bruns presents three conversion solutions for the new Ford Custom. Firstly, the installation of the fully automatic electric step SmartStep and the ultra-slim cassette lift K70. Both are professionally installed under the vehicle by the side door. Secondly, the Custom can be converted into a wheelchair-accessible vehicle using a rear cut floor with access ramp. The person in the wheelchair and the wheelchair itself are secured by the PROTEKTOR occupant & wheelchair restraint system. Extra protection is provided by the head and backrest FutureSafe. If no wheelchair is being transported, tip & fold seats in the rear provide space for two additional passengers.

The Ford Courier is currently the smallest basic vehicle in the Ford family that AMF-Bruns equips with a rear cut floor. So compact that it fits into any parking space and still offers plenty of room inside. The rear cut-out with EasyFlex ramp enables the safe and comfortable transport of wheelchair users. If the wheelchair space is not in use, the ramp can simply be folded down and used as a loading area. The PROTEKTOR restraint system as well as the head and backrest FutureSafe provide protection for the wheelchair user when travelling.
