The Turny® Manual from BraunAbility
The Turny® Manual combines accessibility needs with the possibilities the space of modern vehicles offers. Its functionality is up-to-date with the latest automotive design developments.
As cars have evolved, the angle of the B-pillar and the radius where it meets the sill have changed, resulting in less space to swivel out a seat. The Turny® Manual responds to this reduction of space with smart features:
- It allows for easy installation, and smooth motion.
- It's highly functional and user-friendly.
- It's compatible in a big variety of modern vehicles.
Slim design for smart movement
The Turny® Manual is overall slimmer than our other swivel bases, making it more compatible with various vehicles and individual transfer needs. This means its rotating part is narrower than that of the Turnout, and, together with a narrow seat, the Turny® Manual can be installed in cars where the Turnout might not fit.
Moreover, the Turny® Manual can move the seat backwards during rotation, for example, to navigate around the B-pillar. This feature also allows the seat cushion to be positioned almost completely outside the vehicle. That way, the Turny® Manual can extend the leg space, making entry and exit from the vehicle easier.
Available for Caroseat® Flex and Carony®
The Turny® Manual has been available for a while as part of the Carony® system, equipped with the particular Carony® rails. As of now, the Turny® Manual is also available as a standalone swivel base. As such it is exclusively compatible with the new Caroseat® Flex.
